Social Work 5113 involves graduate social work students in continued study of the generalist social work practice model with a focus on higher level systems. The course examines complex systems within social work practice, and identifies meaningful approaches to assessment, planning, action, evaluation and knowledge development and utilization. Students will expand their frameworks of social work practice and strengthen their understanding of how to take action within higher level systems employing models and strategies useful in achieving the aims of the profession.
